Holiday Revelers in Morningside Park

In this issue:

Season's Greetings From The Friends of Morningside Park

As we marvel at the park's beauty under its blanket of snow, let's not forget the tremendous effort it takes to maintain and beautify Morningside Park. 2011 promises to be a very challenging year for parks city wide. The Parks Dept. has announced 20% cuts to its capital budget. Even city funds already allocated but not yet spent on long planned projects such as renovating Mornindside's 123rd Street Playground could be in jeopardy.

The park needs your help now more than ever. Here at the Friends we are always trying to do our part even though we have a tiny budget relative to our larger park neighbors. This past year, through individual donations like yours, our 501(c)3 nonprofit has been able to contribute over $20K in equipment and material towards the upkeep of the park. Thanks so much to those who have joined our cause!

If you haven't had a chance to make a donation, today is your last chance to do so for 2010. Please DONATE NOW. At FMP we are all volunteers, meaning that 100% of your contribution goes to supporting the park.

Thank you so much for your dedication and we look forward to seeing you in the park in 2011!

Brad Taylor,
